Our Specialties

01

Turkish Tea

Tea, also known as "çay" in Turkish, is the most popular drink in Turkey, being consumed at any time of the day. Present in all cafes, tea rooms, restaurants and even in the streets of Istanbul and on Bosphorus ferries, it is traditionally served in flared, transparent glasses to preserve its aroma and heat. The Turks, among the greatest tea lovers in the world, prepare their tea in a double container called "çaydanlik", offering the possibility of choosing its infusion between light, "açik çay", or full-bodied, "koyu".

02

Turkish Coffee

Turkish coffee is mainly enjoyed in the Middle East, almost ritually. It is prepared in the “cezve”, a typical copper and brass vessel with a long handle. Its preparation requires the use of very fine grind coffee. Tradition calls for the use of a brass mill, which grinds the grain into a powder as fine and delicate as icing sugar. It is drunk in small, shallow cups, once the powder has completely settled.

03

The salep of Istanbul

The Istanbul salep: The Orchis is a family of orchids including several wild European species. Salep consists of a drink that is prepared with flour from the roots of these flowers.
